We are currently recruiting for an Architectural Technician to join one of the UK's top housebuilders at their Liverpool office. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an established design team within a prestigious national company with an impressive portfolio of residential developments.

Our client is renowned as one of the country's leading housebuilders with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and sustainability in residential construction. They have won multiple industry awards and continue to expand their presence across the UK.

The Role:
As an Architectural Technician, you will play a vital role in the design team, working on a variety of residential projects from concept to completion. You will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and specifications that adhere to building regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and modify architectural drawings using AutoCAD, Revit or similar CAD software
  • Produce working drawings for construction purposes, including plans, elevations, and sections
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, planning conditions, and technical standards
  • Liaise with planners, contractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues
  • Assist in the development of standard house types and construction details
  • Review and update existing drawing packages as required
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design and technical standards

Requirements:

  • Degree in Architectural Technology or similar qualification
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Understanding of UK building regulations and construction methods
  • Experience in residential construction, ideally with volume housebuilders
  • Good knowledge of technical detailing and specification writing
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills and practical approach to construction challenges
