Job title BMS Commissioning Engineer
What will this person be doing?
  • Commission and test BMS systems to ensure they operate according to design specifications and client requirements.

  • Program and configure BMS software and hardware (e.g., controllers, sensors, actuators).

  • Integrate BMS with third-party systems such as HVAC, lighting, and fire alarm systems.

  • Conduct functional testing, point-to-point checks, and system diagnostics.

  • Identify and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning phases.

  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure coordination and timelines are met.

  • Generate commissioning documentation, reports, and system handover packs.

  • Perform site inspections and provide technical support during and after system handover.


Essential Skills
  • Strong understanding of BMS systems

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics

  • Experience with HVAC systems and controls integration

  • Knowledge of networking protocols and system communication (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, KNX)

  • Ability to program and configure BMS controllers and software platforms

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, contractors, and project teams

Working hours 37.5hr week - Excessive overtime is not encouraged/normal but required if works required out of hours.
