As a Service Engineer you will assess life saving equipment in maritime settings - for example winches and cranes on board vessels and offshore installations. With this equipment being exposed to the elements these mechanical devices parts do need replacing in certain time frames and due to their importance need that regular check up. You'll be checking previous service reports, equipment manuals, verifying that parts are available and other requirements are met.

This role will require flexibility, to travel and work away and offshore at times, typically across Liverpool yet also covering the north of England. You will receive fantastic overtime additions, working away allowances, company van, company mobile phone and company credit card for business expenses.

As this is a role where the majority of your earnings come from the additions due to working off shore/away your potential earnings can be up to 70,000, based off of a salary that ranges from 28 to 31k depending upon your experience.

Sounds great, what do I need?

  • HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Broad technical background in the area of mechanics, hydraulics and ideally some electrical/PLC knowledge
  • At least several years' relevant maintenance experience
  • Ability to read and understand technical diagrams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in the maritime/offshore industry is preferred
