Hays Construction are recruiting for an experienced and professional specialist SME contractor based in Merseyside. We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join this business. You'll be a strong and independent Quantity Surveyor, with experience working for either a subcontractor or main contractor. This role involves reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and working on a range of projects, from small works to larger commercial projects valued at £5-6 millionKey Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Conduct site visits on live sites
- Prepare tender documents and contracts
- Monitor project progress and ensure costs are kept within budget
- Manage cost and financial controls
- CVR's
- Prepare and submit regular reports on project financials
- Manage Valuations & Variations on site
- Providing support, development and guidance to Junior Quantity Surveyors
Requirements:
- BSc Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying, with a proven track record in either subcontractor or main contractor roles
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in relevant software
