Intermediate/Senior Structural Technician
Location: Liverpool City Centre
Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 + benefits
A well-established Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Liverpool City Centre is seeking a talented Intermediate/Senior Structural Technician to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse and challenging structural projects in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
As a Structural Technician, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality technical drawings and documentation to support structural design projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support junior team members and contribute to project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare structural drawings, plans, elevations, and technical details using AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
Modify and update existing drawings based on engineering instructions and design changes.
Ensure compliance with company standards, document controls, and industry best practices.
Detail reinforced concrete structures and manage document control for project files.
Work with BIM Level 2 projects and have familiarity with ISO 19650 (or earlier PAS 1192).
Liaise with engineers, clients, and design teams to resolve technical queries.
Provide mentorship to junior CAD team members.
Assist in managing project workflows to ensure timely delivery.
What We're Looking For
BTEC HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Structural Design, or CAD Technology).
Demonstrable experience in structural CAD drafting within a professional setting.
Strong understanding of document management, file-sharing systems, and version control.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
