Reed accountancy have recently partnered up with a business who have an excellent o for an experienced Legal Cashier to join their well-respected specialist Law Firm.

Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier is essential, and you must be fully compliant with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.

This is a full-time office-based with parking provided on site. The firm offers a friendly working environment. You will join  wider finance team of 5, within a role reporting into the finance manager daily.

The Role

  • Assist staff with accounts queries.
  • Process daily all financial payments, receipts, and transfers.
  • Perform day end balancing procedures.
  • Process credit card payments.
  • Making bank and cheque payments
  • Reconciliation of petty cash payments
  • Petty cash balancing - to incorporate identifying and rectifying errors.
  • Deposit interest calculations
  • Purchase Ledger - coding, input and cheque production.
  • Process employees' expenses claims.
  • Process invoices and check completion statements
  • Liaising with file handling departments regarding accounting transactions
  • Assisting the processing of client and office account transactions, with reference to billing
  • Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules within the team
  • Reconciliation of disbursement supplier statements as required.
  • Liaising with clients and debtors.
