Reed recruitment have recently partnered with a fantastic law firm who are looking to add another legal cashier to their team based on growth of the business.

The right candidate will demonstrate previous experience in a similar role and will be in a position to work to a hybrid working pattern of 1 day in the office and 4 days from home.

Responsibilities

  • Processing all accounting transactions in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules, Anti-Money Laundering Regs and firms Financial Procedures Policy
  • Monitoring receipt of all funds to client and office accounts
  • Daily bank reconciliations for client and office accounts
  • Completing Month and Year end processes
  • Preparing VAT reports
  • Checking that all payment and receipt requests are properly authorised and verified in accordance with financial procedures
  • Setting up banking payments for authorisation
  • Responding to legal cashiering accounts queries
  • Review and processing the accounts payable ledger
  • Supporting queries relating to the annual audit requirements pursuant to SARs

Experience

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience legal cashiering
  • ILFM qualification (desired not essential)
  • Experience of Quill Pinpoint case management system (preferred not essential)
  • Strong numerical skills and analytical skills
  • Confident user of MS Office packages
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Well organised with strong time management skills
  • Efficient, reliable and focussed
  • Professional communication skills both written and verbal
