Are you a detail-oriented professional looking for your next challenge? Our client is seeking a dedicated Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a temp to perm basis. This role is essential for ensuring smooth invoice processing, accurate VAT accounting, and timely payments, while delivering excellent customer service to various Bibby offices. This position is initially offered on a temporary basis with the potential to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attention to Detail: Ensure all invoices are correctly addressed and authorized for payment.
  • Planning: Process invoices promptly and arrange BACS payments, ensuring strict adherence to payment deadlines.
  • Execution: Manage and monitor company expenses for both cash and credit cards, ensuring compliance with company policy and reporting any discrepancies.
  • VAT Accounting: Ensure VAT is correctly accounted for on both expenses and invoices.
  • Communication: Liaise with different offices to address and resolve queries promptly. Arrange ad hoc payments as requested.
  • Reporting: Keep all ledgers up to date, chase invoices for direct debit payments, and regularly reconcile supplier statements with suppliers
  • About You: Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual eager for a challenge. While experience in Purchase Ledger or current AAT studies is ideal, it is not essential as full on-the-job training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be confident, able to work well within a small team, and capable of taking initiative.

  • Ability to work with people at all levels of the business

Desirable:

  • Fully experienced in Purchase Ledger
  • Currently studying or has studied at a higher level of education
