Brigg Scientific is seeking a Development Scientist for a medical device diagnostic company based in The Wirral, Merseyside.

The salary for this permanent role is between £26,000 and £27,000, plus company benefits, and previous experience in a medical device role is advantageous.
The position offers immediate start with training provided on specialized equipment, and they work across a range of technologies from concept to operational environment.

This Brigg Scientific client is a medical device diagnostic company who are looking for a Development Scientist to work out of their site on The Wirral, Merseyside.

Duties and personal qualities will include the following:

Collaborating on scientific studies in support of product development / improvement
Maintaining detailed ongoing project records
Adherence to quality and operational protocols
Knowledge of biochemistry instrumentation and techniques: including immunochenistry, microfluidics and electrochemistry
Good PCR / molecular knowledge is essential for this role
Data analysis / statistics
Problem solving skills

This is a permanent role commanding a salary in the range £26-27k + company benefits. Applications are welcomed from BSc qualified graduates in chemistry, microbiology, engineering or closely related subjects. Experience from a previous medical device role and ISO 13485 exposure would be a distinct advantage.

This exciting and challenging role has an immediate start and training will be provided for their specialised equipment. They operate across a wide range of technologies from initial concept to final operational environment.
