The School and Role

This large, all girls secondary school and sixth form based in Liverpool are looking to appoint a driven and passionate Science Specialist to teach KS3 - KS4 levels and work as part of an established team.  This is a full-time role, startingimmediately, and will be ongoing.  The school welcomes applications from those with a Degree in the Sciences who are looking to share their knowledge with children aged between 11-18, and does not require QTS.  This Catholic school has been educating girls in Liverpool for over 170 years, and were marked as 'Good' in all areas following their latest Ofsted inspection, with praise for the focus on children with SEND requirements, and their ability to progress well through the curriculum.  

Requirements

The desired Science Specialist will;

  • Have a minimum of 5 days experience working in sole charge of a group of children in the last 10 years

  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build a good rapport with students and staff

  • A passion for working with children, in a calm and authoritative manner

  • Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS Check that is on the Update Service
