We are currently working on behalf of a Crosby secondary school who require an experienced School Laboratory Technician.
The Role:
- Secondary School Science Technician
- Independent Secondary School - Crosby
- £95 per day
- Full time
- Long-term
- ASAP - July 25
- Must have experience of working in a school laboratory
Duties include:-
- Maintaining equipment.
- Constructing and modifying apparatus.
- Setting up experiments.
- Taking an active part in laboratory demonstrations.
- Ordering resources and keeping budgets.
- Helping in practical classes.
- Giving technical help to pupils and students.
- Always meeting current health and safety standards.
- A science degree combined with a COSHH qualification for science technicians is required
To join us and be successful in this secondary science technician role, you will need to:
- A degree in science plus a COSHH Science technician qualification
- At least 6 weeks' experience of working in a school or college with children aged 11- 18
- This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
- Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
