Temporary to Permanent

A well-established SME in Knowsley are seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. On offer is an hourly rate of £14.19 and hours are full-time Monday to Friday on days. This role is offered on an ongoing temporary basis so please only apply if you are seeking a temporary role with potential for permanent. Full training is also offered in this position.

Daily Duties:

Set and operate manual turning lathes, manual milling machines, fly presses.
Generalised use of pillar drill, band saw and chop saw.
Reading and working from engineering drawings.
Complete documentation, quality plans, workshop instructions and inspection records when required.
Ensure all pre-safety checks are completed, and all equipment and guarding in the Machine Shop is maintained.
Liaise with Engineers and Supervisors to ensure machines and equipment are repaired and serviced.
Keep machine and work area clean and ensuring tools and equipment returned after use.

Requirements:

Time-served and relevant engineering qualification.
Previous experience within a machine shop environment.
Previous manual milling and turning experience is essential.
