Job OverviewIntegra Education are currently seeking dedicated and reliable Caretaker to join our clients team at a secondary school in Liverpool L25. Duties:
- General maintenance and cleaning of the school premises, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and outdoor areas.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times to maintain a secure environment.
- Overseeing of external contractors visiting the school site
- Assisting with setting up and preparing rooms for school events or functions.
- Adhering to COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations when using cleaning materials and other substances.
- Ensuring the security of the school by locking/unlocking doors, activating alarm systems, and monitoring premises.
- Weekly, Fire Alarm testing, defibrillator testing, sprinkler system testing
- Removal of all debris from paths, play areas, grassed areas, flowerbeds and all entrances.
- Simple carpentry tasks e.g. putting up shelves.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Caretaking or similar role is preferred .
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by client needs.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service - or willing to apply/pay for a new DBS
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with staff and students.
- A proactive and reliable attitude with the ability to work independently.
