We are pleased to be recruiting for a Cleaner to join Merseyside Police, based at their Rose Hill HQ.
- This role is PART TIME, working 22.5 hours per week
- The rate is £12.01 per hour
- This is a temporary contract initially for 6 months
- You will be required to travel to different Police Units in the Force area, therefore a FULL UK DRIVERS LICENCE is a must.
The purpose of this role is to provide an effective and efficient cleaning service to Police premises as pre-determined by the agreed force Cleaning standards.
Please do not apply for this role if you have lived in the UK for less than 3 years from the date of application.This is due to police criteria. If you have not lived in the UK for at least the last 3 years continuously, your application will not be considered.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide a Cleaner provision within the estate providing an effective and efficient cleaning service as directed by cleaning supervision and management.
- Use equipment, cleaning machines and techniques as directed by Cleaning Supervision and management to effectively clean all areas.
- Use only approved cleaning materials and janitorial supplies as directed by Cleaning Supervision to effectively clean Police premises.
- Work individually or as part of a team to achieve a clean environment at the locations required and where required the lone working policy will be in place.
- Attend and complete any necessary training courses to ensure working practises comply with all legislative requirements, Force Policies and Cleaning Services requirements.
- Implement such Health and Safety instructions as may be issued by Cleaning Supervision with regard to cleaning equipment, cleaning materials, cleaning frequencies and / or cleaning methods to ensure a safe environment for users of the premises
- Comply with Work Schedules or other instructions issued by Cleaning Supervision with regard to cleaning frequencies to ensure the agreed standard of cleaning is delivered.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Communication skills are essential to enable the post-holder to carry out duties in line with requests from Cleaning Supervision and / or Management and Customers.
