OVERVIEW
A leading FMCG organisation is looking for a new Business Development Executive with direct responsibility for growing the region. Operating with companies across the whole of the North West, the Business Development Executive will drive sales growth amongst a new and existing customer base.
The Role Summary:
Reporting into the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building pipelines, new customers, new contacts, creating leads and appointments for the BDM - KPIs will be in accordance with all of these.
The Role Responsibilities:
Finding new business across new and existing customers and contacts to drive pipeline, orders, sales and visits.
- Build internal and external client relationships to achieve all KPIs
- Agree a suitable and beneficial set of terms and pricing proposals for each customer.
- Manage and ensure the correct levels of investment to drive profitable sales growth
- Activate step change with profitable activity plans and promotional plans by customer
- Report sales performance and manage internal systems and processes to ensure all are adhered to.
- Wide level of communication with key departments internally
- Link to field sales team to ensure correct level of contacts and communication.
- Strong external relationship to drive profitable sales
- Development of a strong competency set and to target next level in all sales specific competencies.
- Ensure that the BDM, EA, Ops and sales team are aware of issues, opportunities and all relevant information.
- Proven track record of success within sales
- Confidence and ability to develop and present compelling sales presentations
- PC Literate: Experience as user on Excel / Powerpoint
- Intermediate use of relevant CRM systems
- Excellent presentation skills
- Good customer management skills
- Capable of managing negotiations at JBP and deal level
