Business Continuity Specialist - 6-Month Contract - Liverpool

Our client, one of the world's largest custodian banks and securities services companies, is seeking a talented individual to join their team in Liverpool. This is a paternity cover contract starting in January 2025. As the Business Continuity Specialist, you will:

  • Oversee the Business Continuity (BC) Programme and act as an Incident Manager.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Enterprise Resiliency Office (ERO) and EMEA Resiliency Leads and Administrators.
  • Represent the team in ERO planning and preparedness meetings on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure compliance with all stages of the BC Lifecycle as defined by the ERO.
  • Assist with the completion of Business Impact Analysis in the Fusion BC system.
  • Advise on the selection of Recovery Strategies and contribute to the production of written procedures.
  • Maintain dependency mapping, including staff, applications, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and complete monthly deliverables.
  • Finalise business impact details post-incident and record them appropriately.
  • Host the monthly virtual organisation EMEA BC forum, including preparing slides and presenting new information, metrics, and ERO guidance.

Skills and expertise we are looking for:

  • Experience in incident management, gathering information, prioritising efforts, and communicating impacts.
  • Strong and confident communicator, with the ability to communicate up to senior management level.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven project management and organisational abilities.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in business continuity preferred, but not essential.
  • Background in financial services would be advantageous.
