Business Development Administrator

As Business Development Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in the growth of the business, a central resource for branches and a vital support function to the Commercial Team and wider network.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who is able to support a busy team with being the first port of call for all enquiries from the wider business. This role would help to develop opportunities with new clients and strengthen existing relationships across the sector. This is a busy role, so you will need good time management and organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and there would be the occasional requirement for travel.

The role would suit someone who thrives in a busy, driven marketplace and someone keen to work as part of a team, but who can also use their own initiative. This is an exciting and demanding role for someone passionate about developing their career in Business Development and Account Management.

The main duties of the Business Development Administrator role include:

  • Fully understand the business offerings to be able to provide potential new clients with detailed information.
  • Be first point of call for all daily queries for the team
  • Manage a joint inbox/es and communicate well between all areas of the business
  • Supporting to build a database of prospective clients
  • Researching potential clients to support an ongoing pipeline for the BD team.
  • Building rapport and relationships with current clients
  • Supporting our branch network with their local growth plans and opportunities.
  • Actively seeking regular feedback from branches and clients on how to continuously improve the business.
  • Work as part of the commercial team, which includes Business Development, Marketing and Tenders and Contracts
  • Meeting and exceeding set targets and objectives both personally and within the role.
  • Occasionally travel or attend client meetings to develop Account Management skills.
  • Ensure all daily Administration tasks are completed for the team.
  • Take minutes/notes and ensure tasks are actioned.
