About the Role:
We are looking for a committed and skilled Humanities Teacher to join a fantastic SEN school in Crosby. This is a unique opportunity to deliver Humanities lessons to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will play a crucial role in creating accessible and engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students to reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will:
Plan and deliver differentiated Humanities lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEN students.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting academic and personal growth.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to provide targeted support for pupils.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring all students feel safe, supported, and encouraged.
Support the wider school ethos, contributing to extracurricular activities and initiatives as needed.
What Were Looking For:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Humanities Teacher with:
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience teaching Humanities, preferably with an understanding of SEN strategies.
Skills: Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching styles to suit diverse needs.
Attributes: A creative, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching.
Training: Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential, as training is provided).
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, candidates must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional references related to teaching.
