An exciting opportunity has become available to work with Allied Universal, as a Security Operations Manager at 22 Bishopsgate, Europe's largest commercial building with the highest free Viewing Gallery and restaurants too!

You will lead a a team of 8 managers, 90 officers and report directly to the Head of Security, in delivering a 24/7 security response.

The role is a full time, permanent contract, with an annual salary of £55,000 to £65,000 dependent on experience.

Your Time at Work
- Delivering the 22B Recipe.
- Providing a security provision for Europe's largest commercial building.
- Management, training, recruitment and development of staff including disciplinary procedures and appraisals and identifying training needs and implementation of relevant training programs.
- Brief the Head of Security on the weekly Threat Risks and Vulnerabilities for the Building
- Develop a mitigation strategy identifying a proposed posture.
- Maintain a risk register for the department
- Ensuring a total security service is enforced and provided to the client whilst also ensuring staff and client relations are not put under and unnecessary duress because of this. Develop and maintain excellent working relationships at all levels.
- An ability to adopt a partnership approach and facilitate collaborative working relationships at all levels to achieve objectives and desired service delivery. Work in partnership with service partners/key services and customers' representatives, ensuring all aspects of the site requirements are effectively managed.
- Design, introduce and implement new service initiatives to meet the customers' changing needs.
- Overall responsibility for the management, delivery and maintenance of the equipment and security systems to include radios, CCTV, door access control systems.
- Devising & implementing new procedures across the contract. Ensure that security measures are integrated, implemented and tested.
- Be a key customer contact for all daily operational security & Health and Safety related matters across the contract and manage these in accordance with site procedures and team members.
- Liaise with police; other emergency services; local authorities and local businesses to build strong working relationships ensuring a joined-up approach when dealing with any emergency in or around 22B.
- Coordinate internal communication on customer feedback from KPI review meetings to keep the company fully briefed on your customer requirements.
- Be a matter expert with the Emergency Preparedness & Response Plan & the Business Continuity Plan.
- Monthly reporting responsibilities include managing agreed KPI's and SLA performance reports and basic management information.
- Demonstrate knowledge of security solutions and service provisions within the industry.
- Coordinate customer reviews via agreed documentation and KPI's.
- Identify required improvement actions and key services delivery and ensure actions are implemented within the realistic timescale provided.
- Maintain regular contact with your line manager and colleagues, providing support and assistance wherever required.
- Incident management - overseeing all emergency incident escalation and response. This will include fire alarm response and evacuation.
- To attend and make presentations at meetings and develop links with tenants.
- Ensuring all site and company procedures are adhered to. Assessment, audit and review of current procedures and practices, making recommendations for change or amendment as required.
- Ensure appropriate training is delivered to teams / individual staff in accordance with their position & identified training & development needs. Drive and develop the team in relation to their experience to help continual improvement.
- To continuously demand the highest standards of service delivery from security team members by providing full briefings and guidance to them.
- To maintain an effective duty of care to security team members ensuring that all required procedures/policies relevant to: Health & Safety legislation: Staff Welfare & Development Training: Disciplinary & Grievance: Discriminatory & Harassment: Alcohol & Drug Misuse: Equal Opportunities are correctly explained and followed, thus serving the best interests of the employee, AU and the client team.
- Be committed to Health & Safety and ensure that you are familiar with all Health & Safety policies and procedures. Police and encourage observance with all site security & safety policies, in particular ensuring that the access control, key control, smoking and Health & Safety policies are observed and enforced.
- Understand the profitability and contractual detail of the existing contract and plan longer term profit improvement strategies.
- Monitor credit control to ensure customers pay in full and on time. Ensure regular review of PO and Invoice Management on behalf of JLL and directly liaison with the AU Invoicing team in line with identified KPI.
- Any other reasonable request from management or client.

Preferred Training / Qualifications to fulfil role:

- A formal qualification with the institute of higher learning in management (ILM preferred).
- SIA licence in Security Guarding.
- CCTV licence preferred but not essential.
- First Aid.
- IOSH training.
- HR training policies and procedures.
- Recruitment and screening process.
- Contract financials.
- Contractual training / uniform budgets.
