Role Overview

As a Class 2 ADR Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all relevant regulations and safety standards. You will be expected to complete multi-drop deliveries, requiring manual handling using a pallet truck, drum trolley, and tail lift.

This role requires flexibility, as you will be away for 2-3 nights per week. Allowances will be provided accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle in compliance with road and transport laws.
  • Transport hazardous and non-hazardous goods in accordance with ADR regulations.
  • Carry out manual handling duties, including loading and unloading goods using pallet trucks, drum trolleys, and tail lifts.
  • Conduct vehicle checks before and after each journey to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
  • Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to driving regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including paperwork and digital logs.
  • Provide excellent customer service when delivering to clients and liaising with depot staff.
  • Adhere to company health and safety policies at all times.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
  • Valid ADR licence with relevant categories for transported goods.
  • Up-to-date Driver CPC and Tachograph Card.
