We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Food Technician to support the food technology department in preparing resources and ensuring smooth, safe practical sessions for students. This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - L18 area
  • Position - Food Technician
  • Type of work - Assisting the food technology department, setting up equipment, and maintaining a safe, clean environment
  • Start date - ASAP
  • Duration / Likely Duration - Temporary with potential for permanent placement
  • Contract type - Temporary
  • Full time/part time - Full-time, with flexibility based on school requirements
  • Hours - 8:30 am - 15:30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a food technician or similar role, ideally in a school setting
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training (desirable, but training can be provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
