Smart4Chemicals are currently recruiting for 2 Chemist positions on behalf of one of our clients based in the Merseyside area.

To be considered for the role of Chemist you must be bachelors or masters educated in chemistry, polymer chemistry, materials science or a closely related subject.

As a Chemist you will be working in the lab working on sustainable materials and sustainable processes. Other aspects of the role include formulating products the make them more sustainable.

Role requirements

  • Bachelors educated as a minimum in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science or a closely related subject.
  • Any previous experience in the formulation and evaluation of coatings.
  • Plan and carry out maintenance and calibration of equipment.
  • Previous experience within an R&D lab setting, preferably within coatings, polymers or a closely related field.

Role responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out development projects within the team.
  • Organise, process and interpret results to scientific and industry standards.
  • Build on your existing knowledge of industry coatings technology, application technology and raw material properties.
