Job Title: Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding

Location: Liverpool 

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE) + Uncapped Commission + Car Allowance

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Reed are currently working in partnership with a dynamic and growing freight forwarding company, committed to providing innovative supply chain solutions. Offering various services including freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution. As they expand their operations, they are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to join the team.

Role Overview: As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to identify and secure new business opportunities within the ocean freight and air freight sectors. You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting: Identify potential clients and develop a robust pipeline of leads
  • Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies
  • Solution Selling: Present freight forwarding services, emphasising expertise in ocean and air freight
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to win new business
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings
  • Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed sales targets consistently

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven Track Record: Minimum 3 years of successful business development experience in freight forwarding
