Infrastructure Engineer - 40K - 45K - Ainsdale
Purpose of the Role:
Hands-on multi-disciplined technical role within the IT infrastructure team, supporting the Head of Infrastructure Services and project managers in delivering robust, performant, resilient and recoverable infrastructure platforms, datacentre, and cloud platforms. Maintain best practice and infrastructure standards as well as ensuring all platforms are secure and meet all legislative compliance requirements.
Key Role Deliverables:
- Participate in the design, deployment, and implementation of infrastructure technologies.
- Provide 3rd Line technical support for the business, Desktop support functions, and escalated tickets.
- Collaborate with Senior Infrastructure Engineers, the project team, and external technical resources to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure solutions.
- Work closely with Senior Infrastructure Engineers and colleagues to deliver cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct technical evaluations of products within the infrastructure domain.
- Possess a broad knowledge of infrastructure disciplines, technologies, and best practices.
- Communicate effectively to understand and resolve technical issues clearly.
Critical Responsibilities:
- 2 years in either a 3rd Line position or an Infrastructure role
- LAN/WAN
- DNS/DHCP
- Windows Operating Systems
- Virtualisation technologies - Hyper-V, VMware
- Microsoft 365
- Azure or AWS
- Networking - Firewalls, Switches and Routers
- Server Experience
