Senior Planner required for a leading national and international Civil Engineering company based in the North West. They're experts in Civil Engineering creating flood defences, highways, bridges and residential and earthwork projects. They are now require the highest calibre Senior Planner help lead their planning capabilities based out of Liverpool / Warrington on a hybrid basis.

The Role

To develop, manage and maintain project schedules, tenders and associated breakdown structures.
Provide Planning expertise on civils projects including, highways, drainage and bridge schemes.
Develop the process and framework used to define, maintain, report and control schedules, identify interfaces, promote and monitor milestone definition sheets, establish baselines, code and resource schedules.
Ensure consistent application, effective and timely delivery of time management
Carry out critical path and earned value analysis producing reports where appropriate.
Work with Risk and Cost teams to develop summary schedules
Provide presentations, coaching and facilitation in the use of planning software
Provide guidance and undertake earned value analysis to inform proactive decision making and risk mitigation
Complete and close out schedule activities to capture as built data for time and cost benchmarking

The successful candidate for this role will:

Have a demonstrable background in civil engineering planning at senior planner / or planning manager level
Have experience of mentoring and developing junior planners
Have experience of the NEC and JCT forms of contract in planning
Experience of working on projects £100m+ in value
Have experience of working on large infrastructure projects
Have previous tender experience
Be competent in using planning software particularly P6,ASTA,Ms project
Have a section/site manager PM or similar background.
