We are working with a successful fashion business who are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Multi-Category Garment Technologist.
Based in Liverpool, you'll be joining a dynamic team and have a strong understanding of grade fitting, reading and adjusting specifications with a passion for fit and sizing. They want a creative thinker who pushes boundaries. Your expertise will ensure garments consistently meet the highest quality standards while leading in fit, comfort, and performance.
This role offers hybrid working.
Main Responsibilities will include:
- Lead fit sessions, focusing on enhancing garment comfort and functionality.
- Creating detailed technical specifications, garment construction guidelines, and measurement charts for production teams to follow.
- Coordinating with suppliers and external laboratories to conduct fabric and trim testing ensuring materials meet performance requirements.
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure timely task completion and provide support as needed.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues related to garment construction, fit, and quality during the development and production stages.
- Liaising with factories to communicate technical requirements, resolve production issues, and ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
- Manage and accountability for up-to-date critical path.
- Update internal documents, including grading and sizing work, as necessary.
Person Specification:
- Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design, Fashion Merchandising, or related field
- Experience in garment technology or quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of garment construction and manufacturing processes.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
