I'm working with a respected and growing property consultancy that's looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor to its team based in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive firm with a strong presence in the education and healthcare sectors, delivering high-quality surveying and project management services across the North West.

This business is known for its collaborative culture and low staff turnover - offering the chance to shape your role and career around interesting, meaningful work.

The Role:

You'll play a key part in delivering a wide range of building surveying services, leading projects from feasibility to handover. You'll also support junior colleagues and work closely with clients, ensuring consistent, high-quality outcomes across education and healthcare environments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage refurbishment, maintenance, and improvement projects
  • Conduct condition surveys, dilapidations, and feasibility studies
  • Prepare detailed specifications and manage tender processes
  • Administer contracts (primarily JCT and NEC forms)
  • Deliver technical reports and professional advice to clients
  • Engage directly with schools, academies, NHS Trusts, and local authorities
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management

What We're Looking For:

  • MRICS qualified (or nearing qualification)
  • Demonstrable experience in building surveying, ideally within education and/or healthcare
  • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong technical knowledge and report-writing abilities
  • A proactive, organised, and collaborative approach

What's On Offer:

  • Salary up to 60,000 (depending on experience)
  • Increased annual leave and attractive pension
  • Professional membership fees paid
  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • Supportive team culture with clear development opportunities

Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to join a consultancy that genuinely values its people and the impact they make. You'll work on projects that matter - helping improve education and healthcare facilities across the region - while enjoying the autonomy and support you need to grow your career.
