Company Overview:

We are looking for an experienced cook with a passion for early childhood nutrition to join a friendly team within a growing nursery at a central Liverpool location. The nursery is rated 'Good’ by Ofsted and their aim is to provide every child with a safe, secure, stimulating and engaging environment to ensure that they thrive and reach their full potential. This is a part-time role covering 15 hours/2 days per week.

Key Duties & Responsibilities for our Nursery Cook:

  • Working in the nursery kitchen to prepare and cook a planned menu covering a variety of nutritious and tasty meals
  • To prepare freshly cooked meals according to a range of childrens dietary requirements
  • To be responsible for food safety within the nursery with regards to food preparation and storage
  • Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen area and equipment
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, policies & procedures

Essential Skills and Experience Required for our Nursery Cook:

  • Previous experience in a nursery kitchen would be advantageous for this role
  • Food hygiene level 2 certificate
  • Allergy awareness
  • DBS

Schedule: Part-time/15 hours per week
