Job Title: Career Coach
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Location: Liverpool (Hybrid - office-based, outreach work, and remote opportunities)
Purpose:
To support service users in progressing into apprenticeships, employment, education, and training opportunities within a new national green skills and employability project. Working within the local community, the Career Coach will deliver high-quality guidance, equipping participants with the skills and confidence to transition into Net Zero Careers.
Key Responsibilities:

Induct, assess, and onboard participants, delivering tailored information, advice, and guidance.

Promote and develop participants’ mindset, emotional intelligence, confidence, and self-esteem to improve employability.

Assist with CV writing, cover letters, job applications, and job searching using relevant online platforms.

Shortlist, pre-select, and match participants to vacancies or work experience opportunities.

Provide interview coaching, using a strengths-based recruitment approach, and arrange employer interviews where appropriate.

Maintain regular contact with participants to ensure job or apprenticeship retention, providing high-quality in-work support for at least six months.

Support the delivery of job fairs, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and remotely, to prepare participants for the workplace.
Requirements:
Essential:

Experience in coaching and delivering employability services.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders, training providers, and employers.

Excellent organisational, administrative, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver objectives.

Positive, adaptable, and proactive problem-solving attitude.
Desirable:
-
Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), Employability & Recognition of Skills (ERS), or Coaching.

Knowledge of strengths-based recruitment methods.
Additional Information:

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week.

Flexibility: Some evening and weekend work may be required.
