Reporting to the Head of Nursing and working closely with the entire Operations and Learning and Development Department you will ensure that all of our staff members are trained and ready to commence with their role within our packages of support.This rewarding role within Gray Healthcare will support with our operations managers, and clinical staff and support workers to ensure the safety and robust training needs of the people we support are upheld to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities of the Learning & Development Coordinator
- Compiling training compliance reports
- Overseeing all elements of our learning management system Grey Matter Learning.Creating the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) documents identifying the training for the people we support and their assessed needs.
- Allocating training to all new and existing staff members based on the changing needs of the people we support.
- Liaising with internal and external trainers as appropriate to ensure training is delivered effectively.
- Creating, reviewing and enhancing training collateral.
- Facilities management, arranging and booking external venues, equipment and colleagues are aware of training bookings.
- Management of the weekly L&D meeting, taking notes and adding actions to the action plan Monitoring attendance at all online trainings by emailing/telephoning attendees.
- Arranging and rescheduling/reallocating training as required as part of incident/safeguarding review.
- Raising Purchase Orders for external training/resources and hotels.
- Supporting staff to access online training.
Essential skills and experience of the Learning & Development Coordinator
- GCSE grade C or above (4+) in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
- Previous experience within a similar learning and development or training role.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic and motivated Ability to problem solve and seek solutions when challenges are presented.
- Proficient user of IT programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas, pivots and charts.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to interpret data for reports and analysis.
Desirable skills and experience of the Learning & Development Coordinator
- CIPD, business administration or equivalent qualification.
- Understanding of CQC learning and development requirements.
- Genuine interest in working within vulnerable adults in a community setting.
- Mental health sector knowledge.
- Willingness to travel.
- Experience delivering training
