Your new companyMy client, a large global shipping firm based in the heart of Liverpool's business quarter is seeking a professional Customer Service advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The company occupies large contemporary offices that are easily commutable from all areas surrounding Liverpool. Your new roleThe position is being offered full-time, Monday-Friday, with a hybrid model in place. You will be required to work from the offices 3 days per week and the rest from home.Salary on offer is between £24,000 - £27,000 depending on experience.Joining a large team of customer service professionals, some of your duties will include, but not limited to.Liaise with customers to provide a high quality customer experience via telephone, live chat, emails and cases.Work closely with customers to support their enquiries, understand their needs and proactively provide solutions.Act as point of entry on potential claims and abandonment requests.Support customers in the planning of new business in cooperation with the sales team.Process customer container release requests and relevant billing requirements.Process customer re-export/return cargo requests using the most efficient route.Ensure timely provision of operational services in conjunction with other departments.Liaise with customers on overdue containers on quay and at merchant premises.Handle shipment related to internal exceptions.Ensure cost recovery for exceptional cost items in a timely manner.Prevent revenue leakage by ensuring timely communication with customers and follow up on additional services.Build expertise in all topics related to import bookingsWhat you'll need to succeedExceptional customer service experience within a professional environmentExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalIdeally, logistics experience but not essential.Used to working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentWhat you'll get in returnCompetitive salary Great city centre location Hybrid model Range of fantastic benefitsWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
