Liverpool City Council is looking for an experienced Customer Service Advisor to join their team. You will be the first point of contact for residents, handling Council Tax enquiries and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

-Handle inbound calls related to Council Tax and other Council Services-Assist residents in understanding their Council Tax bills, payments, and account details-Set up and manage Direct Debits, payment plans, and other payment options-Support residents with arrears, disputes, and exemptions-Ensure compliance with council policies, procedures, and legal requirements-Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions

Essential Requirements:

-Experience handling Council Tax billing and recovery enquiries-Experience using Revenue systems such as NEC Northgate-Must have a current BPSS certification valid for the duration of the placement

Additional Information:
  • Overtime is paid in line with Liverpool City Council's policy.
  • Any hours up to 37 per week are paid at standard rate.
  • Overtime over 37 hours: Time and a half (double time on Sundays).
