Our HR Shared Services team is all about keeping retail, retailing. What does this mean in terms of HR? Well, simplified it means de-escalating any HR issue to mitigate the need for a formal process. We believe that there is always a solution to a problem.


Due to internal succession, we are looking to recruit an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team.Our HR team supports over 750 stores nationwide, managing a high volume of requests in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.A HR professional who strives to make a tangible difference within a FTSE 100 retail business will absolutely relish this opportunity.


Were based at the Store Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool L24. We work collaboratively, so working in the office full time is important to us.


As the Senior HR Advisor, youll take responsibility for providing advice, support, and guidance on all aspects of the colleague life cycle. Working with both retail colleagues and managers, you will act as the point of escalation for the Shared Service Advisors and have a remit that includes:


  • Provide expert advice on complex ER issues and providing options on a shared solution; either advising others on delivery or handling yourself.
  • Managing a varied range of ER casework, including complex disciplinaries and grievances.
  • As a trusted colleague for employment compliance, you'll have a strong interest in staying informed about legislative changes and understanding their impacts and consequences.
  • Coaching and developing a team of Shared Service Advisors in their day-to-day activities in a fast-paced working environment.

To be successful, youll have:

  • At least five years experience in a HR Advisor role, in a commercial environment.
  • Excellent communication skill both written and verbal and proven ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Up to date and demonstrable knowledge of UK employment legislation.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, confident using in house tracking and reporting systems.
  • A friendly, supportive, and empathetic approach, but equally, a willingness to challenge or question, when necessary, while making informed, fact-driven decisions.
