1:1 Teaching Assistant - Kirkdale

Are you a Teaching Assistant who has a passion for supporting pupils with SEN? Or do you have experience supporting children with special educational needs and are wanting to pursue a career in education? If so, Tradewind Recruitment have the role for you!

We are currently working with a Catholic Primary School in Kirkdale who are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant join their school. This role consists of supporting a pupil in KS1 on a 1:1 basis. You will be supporting a pupil who is nonverbal and struggles to integrate to school-based routines and day to day activities. This child requires constant supervision and interventions throughout the day. This role also involves providing personal care.

This role will be commencing Monday 4th November, working Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm on a long-term basis.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN is essential.
  • Classroom based experience is advantageous, specifically working in KS1.
  • A childcare based qualification is advantageous (e.g. a BA Honours in Education Studies or CACHE Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
  • Patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting every child's potential
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to individual needs
