Your new companyHays are delighted to support a primary school in the Liverpool area with their recruitment of a 1-1 Teaching Assistant. This school is looking for someone to work full time until the end of the school year, with a possible extension for the next academic year. You will be employed via Hays on a long term contract.Your new roleYou will be supporting children in a KS1 class with ASD / LD. You will be supporting with day to day learning, managing triggers / behaviours and enabling the child to participate as much as possible. You may be required to work with the child outside of the class when needs be and think about creative ways to help him engage if the classroom setting becomes too difficult. You will work under the direction of the teacher and SENDCO.What you'll need to succeedYou must have previous experience as a TA, ideally supporting children with LD / ASD. You will be available to wok full time and will ideally hold a TA qualification of at least level 2.What you'll get in return
