1:1 Teaching Assistant (KS1)

A vibrant and inclusive Catholic primary school in Norris Green is seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in KS1 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours. Role Details:

  • Working Days: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the Role:The successful candidate will provide tailored support to a KS1 pupil, helping them navigate their educational and social development. The role requires a patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and provide consistent situations.
  • The ability to set clear boundaries and implement behaviour management strategies effectively.
  • A team player who can collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to provide holistic support for the child.
