We are looking for a motivated, proactive, and passionate individual to join our secondary school team as a Cover Supervisor. Whether you’re a recent graduate, someone with transferrable skills, or you simply want to work in education, this role could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising Classes: Take responsibility for supervising students during lessons in the absence of the teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged with their work.

  • 1:1 Support: Provide individual support to students when required, helping them with their work and offering guidance when needed.

  • Maintaining Classroom Order: Ensure a positive and productive classroom environment by managing student behavior in line with the school’s policies.

  • Flexible Days: Work on flexible days to cover lessons across various subjects and year groups, providing essential support to the school.

  • Supporting Student Development: Assist in the delivery of pre-prepared lessons, reinforcing learning objectives, and supporting students’ academic and personal growth.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • You may be unqualified, but you must bring transferrable skills such as strong communication, organisation, and the ability to engage with young people.

  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards working with students.

  • Previous experience working with young people in any capacity (e.g., mentoring, tutoring, coaching) is advantageous but not essential.

  • A proactive, flexible individual who is comfortable stepping into different subject areas and managing a variety of classroom environments.

  • A passion for education and a desire to support students’ learning and well-being.
