We are recruiting a full-time, KS2 Teaching Assistant for a lovely primary school based in L20, Liverpool.

Your job role as a KS2 Teaching Assistant would be general classroom assistant duties, as well as 1:1 with a child with ADHD.

We are looking for people who have strong behaviour management, experience in SATS support, and strong curriculum knowledge in KS2 Maths and English.

Qualifications are not essential however, experience with KS2 pupils is a must.

As an KS2 Teaching Assistant you will be required to have knowledge and experience with the following;

- Strong Math's and English knowledge- Experience with children with additional needs such as; speech and language, autism, non-verbal, ADHD etc- To have experience in a UK nursery or school based setting

KS2 Teaching Assistant role & responsibilities:

  • Use specialist skills/training/experience to support pupils and enhance their learning and so progress
  • Undertake programmes linked to local and national learning strategies eg. Literacy, numeracy, KS2 recording achievement and progress and feeding back to the teacher
  • Prepare, maintain, and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their use
  • To work with small groups of children and to take responsibility for their learning

Non-negotiables:

  • Previous experience of working with children aged 0-11 in a voluntary or paid capacity
  • Knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the KS2 Stage and the National Curriculum
  • Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Level 1 upwards
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
