To work in a year 5 class in a primary school in central Liverpool. The role is to support the class teacher in the classroom, prepare resources and teaching materials, ensure that the children in the class have access to the curriculum. Supporting pupil's with special needs, preparing individual resources for pupil's who need them. Working closely with the class teacher, planning lessons and activities and assessing progress.To create a positive working and learning environment in the classroom.This is a full time position to work 5 days a week. Term time only.The successful candidate will have had previous experience working with children in the primary age range, particularly with the KS 2 age range. Previous experience working with challenging behaviour and learning difficulties would also be an advantage although it is not essential.Candidates should be able to demonstrate a proven track record working in the classroom and will have excellent communication skills.Good ICT skills are also desirable.This one form entry school is seeking a teaching assistant to support their KS2 department. You will be required to work with the year 5 class teachers.
