Level 3 Teaching assistant / HLTAHuytonProspero teaching are working with a SEN School in Huyton the school deals with students with additional needs and mental health issuesThe pupils are aged reception upwards to secondary all with EHCP plans and additional needs.The pupils have usually experienced some form of trauma, neglect or chaotic home life or all of these things.Your role is to build a connection with the young people and act and a mentor and role model for the students as well as leading classes and organising tasks throughout the day.

You must have a strong cover supervisor, TA or Tutoring background with students from PRUs or SEMH schools.

Due to the barriers the pupils have in the classroom, the role will entail forging strong relationships with pupils.The role will see you using lots of mentoring skills (similar to that used in sports, drama, counselling) to help the individual engage with the school.The position is open to all experienced and those who have a strong background in mentoring children and young adults.
