Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a school in Huyton for a full-time Reception Teaching Assistant to start immediately. This exciting role involves working in a vibrant and supportive Early Years setting, providing essential support to young learners during this critical stage of their development.

The Role

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons tailored to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Support the social, emotional, and educational development of children, including those with additional needs.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and positive behaviour.
  • Help with the preparation of resources, setting up activities, and supporting play-based learning.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, working closely with the teacher and parents to support individual learning plans where required.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to children to ensure they are engaged and thriving in their learning.

About You

We are looking for a Reception Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has previous experience working in an Early Years setting, preferably in Reception, and understands the EYFS curriculum.
  • Is passionate about supporting young children's development, with a caring and patient approach.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Has experience supporting children with additional needs and can adapt their approach to meet a range of abilities.
  • Is creative, proactive, and eager to contribute to a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
