Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting students with severe learning difficulties, disabilities, and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) challenges? We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join an inspiring special school in Liverpool (L8) on a full-time, long-term basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with severe learning difficulties and disabilities
  • Assist students with SEMH challenges, using patience, empathy, and resilience
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to develop individual learning plans
  • Help manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive and safe learning atmosphere
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit each student's unique needs
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A passion for supporting SEND students, with experience in either a mainstream or special school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic nature, able to manage challenging Behaviour constructively
  • A proactive, solution-focused attitude, with a commitment to creating inclusive learning environments
  • Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff
