This primary school have an internal SEND provision in the L19 area of Liverpool is dedicated to providing exceptional support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will support students with a range of SEND, ensuring they have access to a high-quality education tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of individualised learning activities for students with SEND.

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom.

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and collaborate with the SEND coordinator.

  • Foster social and emotional development through positive interactions and activities.

  • Monitor and record student's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND is essential.

  • Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
