About the Role:

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on making a difference in challenging but rewarding environments. You will:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with complex needs, including Autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), and physical disabilities.
  • Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
  • Promote positive interactions and develop strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports emotional and academic development.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Have experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly those with complex needs.
  • Possess strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Be able to adapt to the individual needs of each pupil.
  • Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
