Tradewind Recruitment is excited to be working with a dynamic and supportive SEND school in South Liverpool that is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
About the Role:This role is perfect for someone who thrives on making a difference in challenging but rewarding environments. You will:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with complex needs, including Autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), and physical disabilities.
- Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
- Promote positive interactions and develop strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports emotional and academic development.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

To succeed in this role, you should:
- Have experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly those with complex needs.
- Possess strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
- Be able to adapt to the individual needs of each pupil.
- Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
