Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support educators in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of special education principles and have experience working with children, particularly those with autism. This role is vital in helping to educate and engage students, ensuring their individual needs are met.

Responsibilities

Assist the lead teacher in delivering educational programmes tailored to the needs of students, particularly those with special educational needs.

Support children in their learning activities, providing guidance and encouragement to enhance their understanding and skills.

Help manage classroom behaviour by implementing strategies that promote positive interactions among students.

Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's education.

Participate in the planning and preparation of learning materials and resources for classroom activities.

Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher regarding individual development.

Skills

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, educators, and parents.

Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or special educational needs.

Ability to educate and engage students through creative teaching methods.

Patience and empathy when dealing with diverse learning abilities.

Knowledge of special education practices and principles.

Capability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being able to take initiative when required.
