Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Huyton, Liverpool

Hours: Full Time (8:30am - 3:30pm)

Start Date: Tuesday 22nd April 2025

In partnership with the Governors of a primary school in Huyton, Tradewind Recruitment is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and friendly Teaching Assistant for our Nursery class. The successful candidate will work closely with the Early Years Team, supporting children in the Nursery by delivering engaging learning experiences across both indoor and outdoor environments, in line with the Early Years curriculum.

The successful candidate will:

  • Collaborate positively with all staff, embodying the school's ethos, vision, and values;
  • Support pupils' physical, academic, social, and emotional development, fostering independence in a safe and secure environment while using strategies to recognise and reward achievement;
  • Assist in the learning of individuals and groups by delivering the curriculum and serving as a role model with high expectations;
  • Work alongside colleagues to develop and implement the EYFS curriculum;
  • Encourage pupils to engage and collaborate effectively with their peers;
  • Observe, record, and support pupils' development, identifying individual needs and providing constructive feedback on progress and achievement;
  • Promote inclusion, ensuring all pupils can fully participate in school life;
  • Monitor and evaluate pupils' responses to activities through observation and planned assessments;
  • Hold a recognised and relevant childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification.

  • Work to high standards, both when working with colleagues and when working unsupervised;
