Your new companyThis Primary School in Huyton (14) is looking to hire a new 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

The successful Teaching Assistant will work on a one-on-one basis in a year 3 class. You will be supporting the pupil in all core subjects. As a Teaching Assistant, your job is to enhance and enrich the learning of the pupil in your care. You will work hard to ensure the pupil is constantly engaged with the overall aim of improving their subject knowledge and keeping them on task.

Your new roleThis is a full-time, long-term role which will start after the half-term.You will be working Monday-Friday, 8.30-3.30.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this Teaching Assistant job, you will hold a Level 2/3 or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification and have reference-able experience of working in a school setting.

  • A proven record of managing challenging behaviour and supporting children to understand the route of their frustrations is essential,
  • Ability to engage with pupils of varying ages and abilities.
  • Experience of working on a one-to-one basis with pupils
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • A flexible, adaptable approach to wo
