Role: Student Services / Pastoral Facilitator
Location: Merseyside
Rate: 18 - 20 per hour
Type: Full time, temporary, on-going
Eden Brown are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Student Support Facilitator to join a leading Further Education College in Merseyside .
This is a full time temporary, on going role to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide essential student support, offering advice and guidance on academic matters, personal challenges, and students futures
* Deliver effective pastoral care, helping students navigate any personal, social, or emotional issues that may affect their learning experience.
* Assist students in applying for bursary funding and other financial support programs, ensuring they understand eligibility and requirements.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages student well-being and academic success.
* Collaborate with progress tutors and other support teams to ensure holistic care and support for each student.
* Keep accurate records of student interactions and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Previous experience in student support, advice and guidance, or pastoral care within a further education setting.
* Knowledge and experience of bursary funding, financial support processes, and eligibility criteria.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students lives.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, student-focused environment
A DBS will also be needed for this role, if you do not have a current DBS Eden Brown can apply for one on your behalf.
