Our client, located in Merseyparks, is seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to assist in the day-to-day management of their Nursing Home. As Deputy Home Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and inspire a dedicated team, ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities:
- Promote our client's philosophy and values within the home
- Ensure that the home meets regulatory standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
- Foster a secure, dignified, and private environment for each resident
- Support residents in developing their skills and maximising their personal independence
- Collaborate with the Home Manager in organising case reviews and medical assessments
- Assist with the recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers
- Provide regular supervision and support to staff members
- Oversee staff rotas, annual leave, and disciplinary procedures
- Maintain compliance with health and safety requirements and perform risk assessments
- Support the Home Manager in managing finances and resources effectively
- Cultivate positive relationships with relatives, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with knowledge of physical and mental illness in the elderly
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a managerial role within the healthcare sector
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Passion for providing exceptional care to older adults
- Commitment to promoting respect, choice, independence, and participation
In return for your dedication, our client offers a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, based on experience, along with 5.6 weeks of holiday (including public holidays). You will have the opportunity to work full-time hours on a permanent basis, with flexibility required for some weekend and evening shifts.
