Our client, located in Merseyparks, is seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to assist in the day-to-day management of their Nursing Home. As Deputy Home Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and inspire a dedicated team, ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote our client's philosophy and values within the home
  • Ensure that the home meets regulatory standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
  • Foster a secure, dignified, and private environment for each resident
  • Support residents in developing their skills and maximising their personal independence
  • Collaborate with the Home Manager in organising case reviews and medical assessments
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers
  • Provide regular supervision and support to staff members
  • Oversee staff rotas, annual leave, and disciplinary procedures
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety requirements and perform risk assessments
  • Support the Home Manager in managing finances and resources effectively
  • Cultivate positive relationships with relatives, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with knowledge of physical and mental illness in the elderly

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a managerial role within the healthcare sector
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Passion for providing exceptional care to older adults
  • Commitment to promoting respect, choice, independence, and participation

In return for your dedication, our client offers a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, based on experience, along with 5.6 weeks of holiday (including public holidays). You will have the opportunity to work full-time hours on a permanent basis, with flexibility required for some weekend and evening shifts.
