Senior C&I Engineer
Certain Advantage is hiring for a Senior C&I Engineer based in the Liverpool area (hybrid).

The Company
We're partnering with a large organisation in energy solutions who provides off-grid energy solutions for homes and businesses across the UK.

The Role
As a Senior C&I Engineer, you'll take on a variety of tasks, from installing and servicing advanced systems to commissioning and troubleshooting complex electrical and instrumentation equipment. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in control systems, process safety, and instrumentation.

Key responsibilities include:
* Installation and servicing of safety, security, energy delivery, communication, and process control systems.
* Troubleshooting complete electrical installations, including PLC-related systems, motors, valves, lighting, and gas detection systems.
* Reading and interpreting line drawings, P&IDs, and Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
* Monitoring and maintaining the operation of PLCs and associated equipment.
* Reviewing design and documentation from EPC Contractors to ensure facilities are operable, maintainable, and compliant.
* Designing control systems, including creating FDS and control descriptions aligned with P&IDs and Cause & Effects documents.
* Attending HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL assessment studies.
* Assisting with the commissioning of new facilities.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver new facilities.
* Liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors, and authorities.
* Developing and attending FAT and SAT procedures.
* Ensuring compliance with Cyber Security Management Systems in collaboration with IT.

* CompEx qualified
* SCADA and DCS Knowledge advantageous
* Siemens TIA Portal knowledge
